Donations refund policy
New Zealand Red Cross will refund all donations made that are fraudulent due to unauthorised use of a credit card. In all other circumstances, refunds of donations will be at the discretion of New Zealand Red Cross, unless in the event of returning funds raised for a specific purpose that has not been fulfilled by New Zealand Red Cross as agreed. In assessing whether refunds of online donations can be facilitated, we will determine whether the donation in question has already been applied to a charitable purpose or whether it is available to be released back to the donor.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
I hereby release New Zealand Red Cross (NZRC) from any claims for any loss, damage, or injury sustained while participating in, organising or being otherwise involved in a NZRC fundraising event.
I acknowledge that NZRC does not provide any liability insurance for protection of individuals, business entities, groups, organisations, spectators, or others who may participate in, organise or be in any way involved in a NZRC fundraising event.
In consideration for being permitted to participate in, organise, or otherwise be involved in a NZRC fundraising event, the individual, business entity, group, organisation, spectator, or other, does hereby release and forever discharge NZRC, and its officers, board, employees and volunteers, jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon or by reason of any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by supporting or being otherwise involved in a NZRC fundraising event as a participant, organiser, or in any other way whatsoever.
This disclaimer extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, losses and liability and the consequences thereof, as well as those now disclosed and known to exist. The provisions of any New Zealand law (whether statute or case law) to the effect that a release or indemnity shall not extend to claims, demands, injuries or damages which are unknown or unsuspected to exist at the time of execution of this form are hereby expressly waived.
I hereby agree on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, to indemnify NZRC and its officers, board, employees and volunteers, jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon or by reason of any damage, loss or injury, which hereafter may be sustained as a result of or in connection with my involvement in a fundraising event for NZRC as a participant, organiser or in any other way whatsoever.
It is further understood and agreed that involvement in a NZRC fundraising event as a participant, organiser or in any other way is not to be construed as an admission of any liability and/or acceptance or assumption of any responsibility by NZRC, its officers, board, and employees and volunteers, jointly and/or severely, for any damages and expenses for which NZRC, its officers, board, and employees, become liable or would become liable but for the terms of this disclaimer as a result of any alleged act or omission of the NZRC fundraising event participant or organiser or any member of the public.
